Dashboard

/dashboard is the signed-in landing page: a short to-do list, gateway health and spend for a recent window, and shortcuts to the pages you use most. For the underlying data model, see FinOps relationship and data flow.

Open the page

Select Dashboard at the top of the main sidebar (Home in the collapsed rail), or open /dashboard. Every signed-in role can access it.

Personas

The Dashboard adapts its next actions, tagline and shortcuts to one of three personas:

• Admin: ADMIN and ADMIN_VIEWER.
• Approver: a team or organization administrator, or a user named as an approver or escalation contact on a governance approval policy.
• Developer: everyone else.

Header

The header greets you by first name and shows the selected range in UTC.

• 7d, 14d and 30d choose the window. The default is 14 days, and the choice is kept in the URL (/dashboard?window=30).
• Export downloads the Dashboard as a PDF or PowerPoint report. Preview last report shows the most recent export.
• View full analytics opens FinOps Analytics on Cost overview with the same date range.
• Request a key opens the key request form. See API keys.

Your next actions

A short list of things that need you, each linking to the page where you act. You're all set appears when nothing is pending.

• Admins and approvers see requests waiting on them in Approvals.
• Everyone sees their own key items:
  • keys ready to reveal
  • a key request rejected in the last 14 days
  • key requests awaiting approval
  • keys expiring within 14 days
  • keys at 80% or more of their budget
• Budgets at 80% or more, or forecast to run out within 14 days and before they reset, appear for their owners. Admins see all budgets.
• Admins also see deployments failing health checks.
• Developers without a key or pending request see Get your first API key.

Operational pulse

Four KPI cards compare the selected window with the previous period of the same length. Each card has a daily sparkline and opens a related page.

Cards

• Spend pulse: recorded gateway cost per day. The current day is drawn dashed because it may be partial. Hover a day for its amount.

  • Explore trends opens Usage & reliability.
  • The table button switches to a day-by-day table.
  • The expand button opens a larger chart.

• Needs attention: priorities for the window.

  • Complete your cost coverage links to Request Logs filtered to unpriced requests.
  • Investigate failed requests links to errored requests.
  • With no pricing gaps or failures, the card says so.
  • The Active client keys row shows your active key count and opens /keys.

• Budgets: a forecast gauge for one headline budget, chosen as follows:

  • With an active organization, it is that organization's budget if one exists, otherwise the largest visible budget of any scope.
  • Without an active organization, it is the largest visible organization-scoped budget, falling back to the largest visible budget of any scope.

  The gauge shows the amount Left this period, split into Spent, Forecast (expected additional spend by the reset at this period's average burn) and Headroom. A status line reports one of:

  • on track
  • the budget will run out before it resets
  • it has reached its limit
  • how many budgets are at 80% or more

  Admins see all active budgets; other users see budgets they own. With no visible budget, the card links to Set up a budget. See Budgets.

• Where the money goes: recorded spend for the window with its change against the previous period. It shows bars for the top five providers and links to Deployments & providers.

• Tokenomics: the modeled savings opportunity across your scored applications and the finding categories that drive most of it. It always uses the last 30 days, whatever window is selected. Select the card to open Tokenomics.

Shortcuts

Three shortcut cards follow your persona:

• Admin: FinOps Analytics, Tokenomics and AI subscriptions (see AI Subscriptions).
• Approver: Approvals, Teams and Request logs.
• Developer: API keys, Request logs and Documentation.

Role and scope behavior

• ADMIN and ADMIN_VIEWER see platform-wide spend and keys. Other roles see records and keys whose userId is their own user ID. Team membership alone does not broaden Dashboard spend.
• Selecting an organization in the header narrows the KPIs, Spend pulse, provider spend and active-key count to that organization. For users other than admins, both the user and organization constraints apply.
• The Tokenomics card uses Tokenomics visibility, limited to the active organization when one is selected:
  • platform admins see every application
  • other users see applications in their teams or in organizations they administer
• Viewer roles can follow every link but cannot perform write actions on destination pages.

From signal to evidence

1. Start with a next action, a Needs attention item or a KPI whose change needs explaining.
2. Open P95 response time or Explore trends for Usage & reliability, or Recorded spend for Cost overview. Open the request or success cards to go straight to Request Logs.
3. In FinOps Analytics, select a chart bucket or ranked row to open filtered Request Logs.
4. Open a log row to inspect model, key, tenant/customer attribution, token classes, cost, latency and guardrail evidence.
